One morning at work, employees arrived to find an unexpected and intriguing announcement at the entrance. A sign read:
"Yesterday, the person who was holding you back in this company passed away. You are invited to a memorial service at the sports court."
At first, a wave of sadness swept through the team. Had they lost a colleague? Someone they knew? But soon, curiosity took over. Who had been standing in their way? Whose absence would suddenly make success more attainable?
One by one, they made their way to the sports court, eager to uncover the mystery. As they approached the casket, they braced themselves for the revelation. But when they looked inside, they did not find a name, a face, or a colleague.
They found a mirror.
It was a moment of quiet shock, followed by reflection, both literally and figuratively. The message was clear: the only person truly capable of holding you back is yourself.
We often look for external reasons why we are not where we want to be. Our boss, our company, our circumstances, or our past. But real growth happens when we stop waiting for things to change and take responsibility for our own transformation.
The world reflects back what we put into it. If we want different results, we have to be willing to change our mindset, our habits, and our approach.
So, ask yourself. Are you ready to stop blaming outside forces and start taking control of your own progress? The moment you do, everything else will begin to shift.
